Calling anyone with any info about sailing at Vassar!

We get the feeling Vassar has an on-again-off-again sailing program on the Hudson River. Admissions knew nothing about it when we visited, but we found the name of the professor who advises, and he says there is a club. According to him, attendance varies based on who is studying abroad etc.

D19 loves Vassar, but would really like to sail in college, at least occasionally. She’d love to attend some regattas and regular practice would be great. It seems that there has been a fairly robust program some years at Vassar, but our family friend who is a student there now could not find anyone who knows anyone who sails.

I thought I’d throw this out there to gather more info if possible. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I also love sailing but unfortunately didn’t get around to this past year because I mixed up some dates and missed the swim test and was too lazy to reschedule. But yes, Vassar does have sailing! I started seeing flyers for the club in late March/early April. Everyone must complete a swim test, and some students head out to the Hudson on weekends in the Spring and sail about. I really hope to get around to it next year. Hope this helps!
