Last year when you applied ED did they have "large volumes of applicants" that prolonged the process this late into November. It's really making me nervous. Is this normal, or is there a huge increase like the early admission in other top schools!

I'm no alumnus of ED, but I can assure you that everything should be hunky dory. They'll let you know if your materials are missing, and give you enough time to send them in. All of mine checked out last Thursday, so apparently they're moving along...it just takes time.

And yeah, I imagine there is an increase in volume, but I doubt it's HUGE. I speculate that most people who would've originally applied to Harv/Prince ED have decided to apply to Yale or Stanford EA, and though I don't doubt the number of applications at CU has increased, I don't believe it's by a significant figure.

My brother last year , he was international, got everything on time and I remember he submitted Common app etc. on the very last day, oct 31st.
Even after he got into Cornell they were really nice about sending the I-20(we internationals require that for student visa) early. What I'm saying is that get in touch with Cornell and keep trying if you have any queries, they just might be inundated with apps. but I'm sure you'll be helped sooner or later.
