Calling Finalists who ranked Rice and Vanderbilt!

The requirements say Rice and Vanderbilt have non-common app forms for us to fill out. When do we receive them? Has anyone received already?

Bro just chill, mine came this morning

I haven’t received my Rice Supplement or any replies to the inquiries I sent in. ):

Wat?!?!?

I got the email from Vanderbilt today, but I have not received one from Rice yet.

i just got the email from Rice right now!

great thanks guys! i received both today…
@IsaacTheFuture you seem shocked? to clarify, if you ranked rice or vanderbilt, the requirements are slightly different instead of submitting apps to them through Common App you have to go through the email links they send

@blink24 Ok nvm, I got the emails you were talking about from Rice and Vandy.

I have a problem with one of their policies, which many other schools have. You can take the SAT or the ACT, but if you take the SAT you have to take 2 subject test, but if you take the ACT you don’t. Like what the hell?!?! That is completely unfair! If I would have known this before the summer, I would not have taken the SAT in the first place. Maybe they mean it’s different for each major. I know for Engineering majors at Duke, they highly recommend Math 2, irregardless if you take the SAT or ACT.

Can someone fact check this, cause maybe I’m understanding it wrong. I know some schools have it differently.

@IsaacTheFuture I believe you’re right…for the SAT ALL/MOST of the schools that I ranked on QB require subject tests with sat I thought it was unfair too actually I’m submitting ACT myself but I definitely feel for you that requires a lot more studying prep and money to both take and submit 2 subject tests! It’s not as ACT is that different from SAT for the latter to have more requirements

Read carefully. Most schools interested in subject tests do not actually require them. Policies have been changing.

@CorncamMom But they highly recommend them. Yes, yes, highly recommend does not mean required, but it does imply it. My SAT score is good, but not out of this world (1400), and I feel that I HAVE TO submit my SAT II test to have a chance.

I just received a friend request from Vanderbilt on Instagram? Does this mean that they are currently reviewing my application? Has anyone else gotten a friend request?
