AP: 5’s on chem, calc BC, bio, stats, physics c

top 6%

so-so ECs
1 varsity sport

It would really be helpful if a few people, at the least, would give some insight on their stats.

so anyone?

SAT: 720 M / 700 CR / 750 W (12 E)

SATII: 740 MathIIC / 700 Bio-M & USHIST / 680 Chem

4 on AP Bio and USHIST

Top 10% (although...fresh: 4.96/6.00, soph:4.96/6.00, junior: 5.62/6.00.........)

OK EC's: i really emphasized my love for snowboarding and playing the saxophone.

Varsity Tennis

Legacy Candidate (applied ED)

hope this helps

Absolute toughest courseload possible, however, i must say this: my fresh and soph years didnt really have tough courses, even though i took the toughest courseload. my AP's started in jun year, and i actually started trying then, which consequently, gave me straight A's (cept B in history ><)

wow.....thats really similar to mine...aside from SATs...i retook mine just a week ago

so thats cool....anyone else?

Lets try to get as many posts on here as possible!

SAT: 800M/780CR/750W
SAT IIs: 800 Math IIC, 790 Chemistry, 750 Biology-M
AP Exams- 5's on Biology, Chemistry, Calculus BC, Calculus AB Subscore
GPA: 3.98, WGPA: 4.75

im doing early decision, as well as applying to the Jerome Fisher Program

My SATs are similar to yours and are in the range for Penn.

5 on AP Chem, 4 on US History.

Calc II at University. Will be taking Differential equations and Calc III next semester.

This year taking AP Physics C, AP Biology, and AP Calc BC (Self Study).

Hardest courseload possible since freshman year.

GPA: 4.0 (1/500) Note: There are about 10 more kids sharing my GPA but my courseload has been tougher than theirs.

E/C--Not the greatest either but I have done a internship in Microbiology and I applied for bioengineering. They are similar fields and so it shows that I know a quite a bit about my major.
I do some Yoga, which is a bit out of the ordinary.

ya im taking Calc III this year as a senior

Ah ****...I kinda hate doing this, as I kinda know the answer, but seeing as how both of you guys have such awesome stats, do you think I have a shot at admittance? I know my essays will help me out, as will my teacher recs, but those two aside, what would you say my shot is from a statistical standpoint? :/

One more important fact about me is, I am getting pretty much straight A's first marking period senior year with 6 AP courses (except in *ing english lit AP...stupid *ing liberal arts....getting a B+ in it). Do you think this will help me?

impboy89--I think you have a pretty good shot with your scores. My scores are a little lower than yours but my GPA is a bit higher. Also, you E/C are probably better than mine.
What type of engineering are you applying to?
I am doing bioengineering.

hell yea bioengineering ftw! but yea, i doubt my EC are really "better" than yours. they really arent fantastic, and certainly arent good enough to call them ivy-league caliber.

btw, Penn doesnt admitt students based on what major they apply for right? because you can go in as undecided. . .

I have no clue...but I know I want to be a bioengineer in the future. Penn, or no Penn, bioengineering it is for me!

SAT: 800 reading, 790 math, 780 writing (2370)

SAT IIs: 800 Math IIC, 800 Biology-M, 780 Chemistry

AP Exams- 5's in Biology, Chemistry, Comp. Sci A, Calc AB, European History

GPA: 3.96, WGPA: 4.69 (Rank 17/650, School doesn't weigh GPA in rankings)
IB Diploma Candidate, so toughest courseload possible offered at school

ECs: President of Model United Nations, President of Amnesty International, Bass Section Leader of Orchestra, Secretary of Gate Club, and members in other random clubs (nothing really special here)

Work Experience: Tutor at a Kaplan Learning Center for 20 hours/week

That is very impressive babieangle. Im assuming your first choice school is something along the lines of Harvard, and this UPenn thing is just a safety?

Both babieangel and fufufighter have amazing stats. Lucky students like them aren't applying ED or else we would be screwed. :(

err >.> fufighter is applying ED, and we dont know that baby ISNT...

but yea, baby and fu have great stats, good for you baby and fu :)

thats pretty crazy, i guess im up for some serious competition.....i thought that Penn engineering was a very easy way to get into the Ivy league...and a convenient backdoor into Wharton.

oh i did apply to upenn for ED by the way
