Calling the Admissions Office?

Has anyone actually called the Admissions office to ask what the **** was going on?

Yes,

The lady was rude. I was like when are UCSD fall 2007 decision suppose to be? She said we don't know yet and CLICK!!!

^wow that is harsh!

meanie :( :(

Ya she probably could've been nicer, but do you realize how many people are calling in asking the same question? Not trying to be mean or anything, i totally understand how you feel...i'm waiting here also

how rude...i wonder how many people have called

so is there a definite answer of when admissions are coming out?

Nope, LOL

best bet is probably around the time uc berkeley and ucla release theirs.

this sucks

Yikes, I'm hoping for earlier. That week will be full of anticipation for me, considering that I already know for sure that admission decisions are being released from three of my schools that week. ;) (I have four left including UCSD, so that's pretty much all of them.)

"The lady was rude. I was like when are UCSD fall 2007 decision suppose to be? She said we don't know yet and CLICK!!!"

that is rude. ucsd lady at my college night was really rude too.
some say that you get to know the school by the way admission personnels respond to your phone calls and e-mails. they haven't been very pleasant so far!

anyway, i think i'm going to wait until the end of march. it's only two weeks away.... (i mean, we've survived those three long agonizing months. two weeks won't kill us).

^ no kidding, if we all survived all those torturous months we can take TWO weeks! (or not.)

Lol, the UCSD lady at our college workshop was mean too. She was like 15mins late, couldn't even answer most of our questions, and our counselors had to end up helping her out. The UCLA presentation, on the other hand, was this really energetic guy that couldn't stop talking about how good the school was and how we should all apply. Yeah, I guess those made an impression.

I kind of want UCSD, and UCLA to just surprise me with their admissions at this point. Nothing rigid like what Davis and SB pulled, just a straight out of the blue "Oh BTW heres your decision" xD 1 more week before I can freak out, until then, its just really annoying not knowing.

Oh Peppers, come on you already got that engineering likely (more like an early write) letter :p

personally, i'd like to know when i'm going to get rejected, lol

yeah. we won't die. i'm just drained from all the suspense. kinda over it, lol.

This is interesting. The UC people at UCSD, UCLA (S is a student at UCLA)
and UCI that i have dealt with were all fairly rude. UCD people were very nice. Cal Poly SLO and SDSU were wonderful. It almost wants me to tell my daughter to go to a state school as you might be a real person there LOL.
I know from UCLA experience, you are just a number.

When I called the general UC office, the guy there was very nice to me. He saw my stats and told me to "excuse [his] French" and that I should be "damn proud" of myself, lol. (Totally caught me off guard because I didn't realize he could see them, but I did give him my UC App ID.) And he said, "Good luck!" So that experience was good, but I haven't had any with specific UC campuses. ;) My mother said that of course they'd be nice to their prospective students, but I guess that's not necessarily the case.
