<p>I got a message on my voicemail the other day from a Brown student wondering if I had any questions or wanted to talk to her about the University. Is this a good sign, or am I just reading too far into this??</p>
<p>you’re seeing something that’s not there. truthfully most ivy leagues get students to contact most of their applicants, they do this to stimulate your ned to go to the school. they want to make sure that if ur accepted they have u in their hands so u would make them ur top choice. even with the non competitive ucs this is the case. they just want to provide u with all the informatin u want. i got one of those too but don’t want to hv my hopes so high on a call.</p>

<p>I have yet to recieve a phone call but then again, I don’t answer my phone half the time.</p>
<p>i don’t think its a bad think often it’s just to get more information about the student if there decision on admission is still unclear. nothing to worry about. good lick to u all</p>
<p>Really? Somehow I doubt that the students will report back to the admissions committee anything at all about the applicants.</p>
<p>Definitely, real interviews with alumni will count (minorly) to the adcom… but this isn’t at all the same.</p>
<p>@Handala92: If you look at the Dartmouth and Cornell forums, many cc users have gotten calls, even way back in January. </p>
<p>Again - I really don’t think adcoms factor the phone call into admissions. It just seems so implausible. I could be wrong of course…</p>

<p>Yeah I wasn’t really thinking they would use it as an admissions factor, I just had a little bit of hope that maybe it was a sign they were interested. I don’t think it actually indicates much, though…I am just groping around in the dark. But aren’t we all, right now? <em>sigh</em> Lucky accepted ED kids whose plans are all set :/</p>
