<p>I submitted my sir to Cal yesterday .. but they wont let me create their calmail account for some reason. When I try to create an account, it says this: "You are not currently eligible for a CalMail account.
If you are an undergraduate, you will be eligible soon after you have submitted your Statement of Intention to Register (SIR)."</p>
<p>Why is this taking so long? anyone have this problem before?</p>
<p>yeah it takes 2-3 days. that happened to me too. but mine works now.</p>
<p>It’s uneven. Some people were able to create a calmail account within two hours of submitting the SIR, for others - me for instance - it took over 24 hours before I could create a calmail account. In the meantime I was getting the same error message as you. You also won’t be able to register for Calso, or housing until then.</p>
