Calmail change?

When I go to calmail.berkeley.edu I'm instructed to choose between squirrelmail or roundcube, then I need to enter my CalNet ID and Passphrase, instead of my usual calmail password. Is everyone else experiencing this? It changed (for me at least) just a week ago, and I dislike the extra step I now have to take.

Curious.

WORD.

i had it setup so that calmail was bookmarked and then my computer automatically put in the password and everything. all i had to do was push “enter” twice and i saw my mail. now i have to choose how i want to see my mail EVERY TIME and then type in my big ol’ ID and passPHRASE and then enter into an extremely irritating mail environment where it usually will tell me it can’t delete something or that it won’t let me do something… and then i log out and back in, and it has (confusingly) actually been done.

grrrrrr… bug report

^ yea, that was my exact setup too! Now it won’t even save the stupid SN and password.

hey, are any of you experiencing problems with sending emails through the roundcube account? Every time I try sending an email it says there is a missing email address even though I filled in everything.

yeah, the pass phrase is pretty long, so it’s annoying to type! I want the old calmail back :(

I forward all my CalMail e-mails to my g-mail account so I never noticed it. You guys should try it G-Mail has a much better interface than squirrel mail or roundcube

I was thinking about setting the Microsoft Mail that comes with PC’s, but I couldn’t figure out all the info it was asking for, lol. Pathetic, I know.

I would do google. I don’t know about microsoft mail but google you can access anywhere, and has a really good system as far as archiving old mail goes. Just google instructions on how to connect your calmail account and g-mail account. From G-mail I can send mail as my berkeley.edu address, and all my calmail mail is automatically sent to my g-mail inbox, without a FW in the subject or anything, and it never appears in my calmail inbox. Also if you have a smartphone google can sync with that for free, as opposed to microsoft exchange and mobile me which have fees

Just go to mail.berkeley.edu/rc
Bam, instant login.

thanks!
but what’s the link to get to SquirrelMail?

Try mail.berkeley.edu/login.html

I would say using gmail or apple mail (if you have a mac) is pretty convenient. It also makes your mail look squeaky clean.
