Calpoly or Northeastern for bio

Hey I have a question,

I got accepted into Calpoly through earth sciences and Northeastern University through bio. My main major is bio, and I was wondering which school has better. I talked with the professors there and they said that it is not difficult to change majors if i wanted to. But i am wondering which one would give me a better bio experience, or which one is more well developed. Is Calpoly’s bio program just as good as any other csu’s or is it just as good as its engineering program or architecture program. Money also is somewhat of an option

Northeastern has a mandatory Co-Op Program built into the curriculum. I believe the programs run 5 years though. In a tough economy, a mandatory Co-Op pretty much means 100% job placement upon graduation. The tuition cost is a huge factor. Northeastern is very expensive (~$38K per year). I am assuming this is more expensive than CalPoly but I could be wrong. With money being an option I would go for CalPoly because it is probably cheaper.

What do you mean by bio? Biology? Biochemistry? Biomedical Engineering?

Cal Poly is DEFINITELY cheaper that $38k/year. According to the Cal Poly SLO website, the annual estimated cost of attendance ( tuition, books, room & board, etc. ) is just under $20k/year for undergraduates, though I think it’s a little higher now as they don’t seem to keep their numbers up to date.

I haven’t actually gone to Cal Poly, so unfortunately I can’t tell you anything about what the programs are like vs. another school I’ve never even heard of, let alone attended.

my bio teacher right now is currently writing the next textbook for many college campuses across the country…
