I had a 3.7 GPA when I applied and after my first semester senior year, I now have a 3.86 GPA having received a 4.33 GPA last semester. I applied to four UC's and got rejected by three, UCSB, UCSD, and UCSD. I did get into Irvine though. I am still waiting for Cal Poly SLO which I really want to go to. I am applying for Business Administration and I was wondering what my chances of getting in are? My SAT's was 1800, 610 MATH, 610 Writing, 580 Reading. I got a 680 in US History and I am involve in numerous clubs but no sports. Can anyone tell me my chances?

It's a match...you have a decent chance.

A 3.86 and you didn't get into UCSB? That doesn't sound right.

Nah. He was a match candidate. Still had a 50% chance of rejection.

God, it's depressing on these boards.

Why's it so depressing? It's called being realistic. He was a match. Not a shoe-in. Could he have gotten in? Yes. But was it so surprising he was rejected? Not really.

...um, ok. Calm down a bit.

I was just saying that someone with a 3.86 not getting into UCSB is depressing to find out. For me. And the person. It certainly wasn't an attack on you or your opinion or anything.
