I have to put my second choice majo for CALS and I can't pick between Environmental Science or Nutrition... which one is easier to get into?

you should choose that one you like...if you choose one based on its acceptance rate you will prob. have a hard time justifying your choice and trust me cornell will be able to see that b/c they see it all the time. BUt you answer your questions, i think both would probably be the same...the hardest majors in CALS is AEM and BIological sciences then plant sciences because everyone applies to those

no see i want to do both but i figured if i have to choose one it might as well be the one that's easier to get into.

ok then i would say that nutrition is easier to get into because i havent heard of anyone else with that major...i think as long as you arent applying to biological sciences or AEM you have a good chance of admission b/c everyone applies to those...does everyone agree with me on that?

It is true that it may be harder to get into a big major like Bio or AEM, but don't assume applying to a less common major will increase you chances-in fact, I think they know if you are. I say look at the majors online, determine which you like best, and go for it. Cornell is hard to get into in any way, but it helps more if you are really into the major you apply for, and don't apply because you heard it was "easier".
