I know my stats are bordering below average so im hoping that my URM status will help along with my ECs

Any major in Cals is hands down EASIER to get into than AEM per se. But by no means is it EASY. People come in with a false assumption that CALS is easier because they somehow confuse contract college with , gasp, a state school. Only to get shot down afterwords by admissions.

Well I dont think its easy by any means, as stated above, but i was just wondering about whether or not every major in CALS was a s difficult to get into, which you confirmed is not true so thank you.

It is true that CALS has one of the highest acceptance rate out of all the schools, even though AEM (one of the most competitive in the entire cornell school) is included in the statistics

I would assume that at least in terms of competition and acceptance rate, CALS, with the exception of some majors, is relatively easier to get into. It is still hard.

your stats look good- regular decision applicant?

@iwantyale No, ED and I heard ED stats are usually much higher than what I have. Should I take the SATIIs to boost me? I really dont want to but I’ll do anything to improve my chances at this point.
Thanks for all the help so far!

Sat2s can help but make sure ur gonna be doing GREAT on them- if ur not sure- dont take them

Ok thanks! Then in that case I’ll most likely focus all my attention on the next SAT.
