CALS, and ILR at Cornell

SAT-Math 770, Reading-650, Writing-540(retook it once with a 580 on writing, but lower math and reading scores)

ACT-31(English-28, Math-31, Reading-31, Science-32, Combined English/Writing-28)

GPA-3.39, Weighted 3.52. But with all AP classes/honors, my school times each AP class by 1.11 I believe, less than most other schools.

Including Senior Year
Varsity XC-3 Years, 2 Year Captain
Varsity Wrestling-3 Years
Varsity T&F-3 Years, 2 Year Captain
Improv Comedy Club-3 Years, avid member/performer
Brain Stormers-3 Years
Chess Club-3 Years

I was wondering my chances of getting into SUNY Cornell, and maybe attending either the CALS or ILR school. Is it worth applying?

Not even one more view??!?!?!

Still no one looks?

Hi! Maybe you should start another thread and put "SUNY" in the title. I clicked because I looked at "CALS and ILR" and went "Huh????" If you get people familiar with SUNY clicking, you will get some good responses. (I know nothing about 'em - sorry!)

Extreme Reach due to low GPA, low writing score, and the fact that EC's relate neither to agriculture nor labor relations.

Well I was thinking about sending my ACT score anyway.

I was a bit confused on this SUNY cheat sheet I had, they didn't give the middle 50% gpa, any idea what it is?

Cornell is NOT a SUNY. Do not refer to it as SUNY Cornell. That will not help you.

Your SAT scores in reading and writing are low. Your EC's do not make you stand out for ILR.

I'd say a reach.

If my sat scores are low in those 2 areas, how are my act scores in comparison?

Its always worth applying. But cornell does seem to be a bit of a reach.

okay thanks, I should get into geneseo and binghamton though right?

What would be something good for the ILR school? Anything politics/debate?

I guess I should throw in:
US:5, World History:5, Bio:4, Computer Science:4, English Lang:4

bump for more replies!
