I'm applying to Cal's College of Letters and Science. I've completed IGETC, but I just discovered on Assist that Cal's L&S has their own 7-course breadth requirement. I've only completed one English course, but it looks like they want a second one in composition. It's unclear because I thought I'd be set after completing IGETC. There are 2 other areas that I haven't completed as well... Can someone clarify?

It’s either/or. If you do IGETC, you don’t need the Seven-Course Breadth.

Cool thankss :]

“The 7-course breadth pattern is accepted at all UCs, see California community college transfers. It is an alternative for students who do not qualify or need IGETC. Since IGETC is only available through CCC, out-of-state and 4-year college transfers may follow the 7-course breadth pattern. Certain majors also discourage IGETC (such as engineering), in which case the student should follow the 7-course breadth pattern.”
