will i get in, do my e.c's, recs, and essays make up fo rmy crappy sats enough for me to scrape cals or cas?

I guess you have a ok chance. But ur SAT is the not that good...
Your EC looks like alot...
Well, I'd say u have a 50/50 shot

how the heck does your school weight grades? You went from a 3.8 UW to a 5.02 W with 6 APs? I took 8 AP's plus lots of honors classes, and my W gpa only went up like .3...or did you mean 4.02?

wow you have a lot of EC's there

Lol thankyou guys so much, the 50/50 shot makes me feel better. My sats are SOOO low, eek. My e.c's were 3 pages long, i did alot :) so i hope that compensates

umm i have a 5.0233 GPA weighted, 3.81 UW, i dont know but its a good school if florida and other people have similar gpa's. i hope my school doesnt rebel against GPA's, but meh. and i am in 7 ap's now, to total 13 taken if that means anything.

ndnguy, you live in Florida? What area?

Your SATs are low and your AP scores are mixed. Your GPA and rank is high, although I would still say that Cornell is a reach for you.

I wouldn't listen to other people's opinions in terms quantifying your chances of getting in, especially since some of the people in the board aren't even Cornell students. Also, no one here is on the admissions committee. I would just look at the stats provided by the school, to see if you are within the 25-75% range.

very true, but i looked on all the board and everyone seems to have a 700 + and i feel horrible that i am going to get rejected, because i really love cornell. so i thought maybe my ec's, gpa, rank, essays etc may offset it to give me a small acceptance to either cals or cas.

Um live in south florida, broward county. my school is called stranahan.

Oh wow, yeah I live in South Florida too, my school also in Broward County. I haven't heard of Stranahan though, but maybe because I live in Palm Beach County and my school is in the north-ish part of Broward County.
