Just a bunch of random questions: what are class sizes like? What are professors like? What's your major and how did you decide it? What do you like/dislike about CALS? What is the general atmosphere like? Are people over-competitive or more cooperative?

Class sizes: depends on the class. Intro level and pre-med classes tend to be large while upper division classes tend to be smaller...but this is not always the case.

The professors are great...very helpful and accessible. I've only had one back experience in my time here.

I'm a Biology and Society major. I chose it because I like science, but I didn't want to be a biology major.

I like CALS because in-state tuition (j/k) and it's focus on the life sciences. I also liked their college distribution requirements more than A&S (my major is also in that college)

The atmosphere is great. I haven't found people to be overly competitive. We all want to see our friends do well and so you'll see a lot of people working together in study groups and whatnot.

Thanks for sharing! Anyone else want to share their opinions/experiences?
