CALS vs CAS biology

Hi, i'm a junior and will probably apply ED to Cornell about a year from now. i was thinking biology with a concentration in Ecology and Evolutionary Bio. I know at both schools you can do this, but i was wondering which has a better acceptance rate and which would be a better overall bet for applying.
Note-im a NY state resident, and let's just for arguments sake say i have the credentials to be competitive for both schools, which should i apply to

The difference between the two colleges lies in the distribution requirements. The classes you take for the major will be the same regardless of the college, but the classes you will have to take outside of the major depend on whether you’re in CALS or CAS. Research both and see which one seems like a better fit for you.
