<p>have any transfers not heard back from cals yet? i feel like the only one, all my friends have recieved acceptances, my deposit is due in two days at another university. i e mailed cals and told them this, they responded saying they were going to put out decisions by mid may, does this bode poorly for me? i feel like they are just waiting to send me the rejection.

College gpa: 3.47 (i had mono in the first semester and recieved three c's, i sent them my doctors note and an explanation)

EC: Contributing editor of my schools business journal, i speak to incoming freshman, president of the CEO connection (we interview prominent ceo's and put out a publication containing thier interviews and advice), founder of the childrens surgery international chapter at my school.
My dad is cornell alumni, and i dont mean to sound cokcy when i ask this, but he is a somewhat public figure in the business and electrical engineering world, does that influence the decision more then jsut a regular alum connection?</p>
