CalSo 2013 question

Is Calso 2013 for June 14th going to be in Southern California?

Yes. I already registered for it. Are you going to be there?

Yeah. I originally registered for June 20th. I didn’t see the 14th for southern California nearby. Had to cancel and said good bye to $20 but gas probably would’ve costed a lot more. Haha

I’m going on the 14th as well! The down side is that advisors will not be there. However, saving the money is all I care about.

Wait what? There won’t be advisors so we cannot sign up for classes? Hey, I’m also from MSJC.

We will be able to sign up for classes, but the major advisers won’t be there, just the general Letters & Science advisers. So, research your major’s website, and find out what courses you need. Then, go on [Home Page - Online Schedule Of Classes](http://schedule.berkeley.edu/) and see what classes seem to be filling up more quickly, and which ones you can leave for Phase II of TeleBears.

I know a few classes from lower division that I need. How do I find out what upper division courses I need for Mechanical Engineering?

@Waterox this one is kind of confusing but may help. There may be a more understandable one as well though http://www.me.berkeley.edu/StudentAffairs/CurrentStudents/Undergraduate/CurriculumFlowchart.pdf

PS yes what Opaque said exactly about advisors and so cool you go to MSJC!

My s signed up for June 14 And 15 and it’s supposed to be held at Berkeley. Are there two different ones? Found they have SoCal events only available to pell grant recepients.

Bearybear, is your son a freshman? There are different CalSo’s for freshmen and transfers. Mainly, the freshman one is two days long, and the transfer one is only 1 day.

Yes, he’s a freshman and it is for 2 days. Thanks for clarifying that there are teo different ones.
