My flight is in a couple hours...wondering if you guys know if they provide sheets/pillow, etc. for the beds in the dorms? Reeeeeallly don't want to lug up a sleeping bag.

Also, for those familiar with Southwest Airlines. I'm flying Los Angeles to Oakland out of Burbank, I wan't to get 3 pieces of carry on on the flight. If at all possible I want to avoid checking any baggage...will they hassle me about it on a Sunday afternoon flight?

lol i'm gonna be at LAX...in like four hours or somethin too. anyways, take a sleepin bag and pillows. i know for sure they won't provide them. but...that's all i can answer since i know nothin about the luggages and stuff...

They'll open your stuff, but don't worry about it; they usually have privacy barriers around the bags. I had my stuff inspected at an airport in Rhode Island. Rhode Island. There were cows in the airport.

Southwest Airlines will not allow you to carry-on three items. The most you can get is a small business luggage and a laptop case as a personal item (don't bring your laptop to Calso). There is no need to bring that much stuff anyways since pillows, towels, sheets, and bedding will be provided: do not bring a sleeping bag.

Southwest will enforce its 1 carry-on and 1 personal item policy. Most of their flights are often very full and they will not tolerate any extra carry-on. Now if its not a full flight, then that's another story. Ask when you check-in.

You guys are so lucky...being from So-Cal and going to Berkeley. You will get THE college experience and have an adventure exploring NorCal. I, however, am from San Francisco, just 20 minutes away, so it's gonna be quite boring!

I would rather be in NorCal and not drive the 6 hours to Cal with my parents -_-''' But I guess its kinda like an adventure to meet new people. And Calso is freshmen orientation.

I WOULD DRIVE THE SIX HOURS!!!! It'll be fun! I LOVE ROAD TRIPS GOING DOWN TO LA!!! I LOOOOOVE LA!! YOU GUYS ARE LUCKY. NOR-CAL IS BORING COMPARED TO LA!
