July 9-July 10, MTu Open | $190 Open | $190
July 13-July 14, FSa

what is the difference between MTu and FSa??

It's not all still open. You have to check which college you're in, so call them.

M = Monday
Tu = Tuesday
W = Wednesday
Th = Thursday
F = Friday

These are Cal's abbreviations for the days of the week.

lol thanks for that...i feel kinda stupid now!

anyways, i signed up for the june 8th one, it said some of the other ones were full.

does anyone know what i have to do if im in L&S but want to sign up for pre-business classes to try and get into haas? do i just work it out with the people there or is there anything special? i couldent imagine considering it a "real" major change

i am part of engineering and it does not seem there is a comparable rush to sign up for CalSO

June 11-June 12, MTu Open | $190 Open | $190
June 15, F (SoCal) Open | $55 Open | $50
June 16, Sa (SoCal) Open | $55 Open | $50
June 18-June 19, MTu Open | $190 Open | $190
June 22-June 23, FSa Open | $190 Open | $190

Hm, I'm also in that situation. I applied to Berkeley as an Undeclared in L+S because that is pretty similar to Undeclared L+S Haas. Hopefully, they can accommodate people who want to change. I think our change wouldn't be as drastic as, say, going from L+S to Engineering.

sparetire: You won't apply to Haas until 2nd year. If it's your intention to major in Business and apply to Haas next year, sign up for classes accordingly. You stay in L&S.

What is the FPF CalSO for?

Sign up for the earliest CalSO you can. You don't want to have the classes all filled up and whatnot.

Also, pick out the classes you want before you get there.

what happens if one can not make to CalSO, in regards to class registration? In our case, we have already made the summer plan a few month ago. On top of that we are on the east coast. I wonder how other OOS people manage to do it.

i think in that case you have to pick your classes by yourself/ late...not sure though

if oos, then you have to log into CalSO webpage, authenticate to go into your own personalized page, and then state that you cannot attend CalSO.
It's a link at the very bottom. From there you read the information and it will tell you that you must get in contact with a counselor so that you can obtain your TELEBears appointment, some code to log into it, and to be advised over the phone about your class choices.

That's pretty much it, as far as I know.

You will register classes after all the CalSOs have been done.

Thanks for all the replies.

What's the chance that most classes are full by the time CalSO is over?

Depends on what class you want. Some of them are full already such as many of the "easier" R&C courses, some upper division courses, some of the laboratory classes, and etc. Most of the large intro courses are still open, but probably all of the "good" discussion times for the lecture are full.
