Hi. I am a transfer student who is applying to csun and csula as a local. I have over 60 units, will have a 3.4 gpa (I know, not amazing but not terrible either), completed their golden four classes, and every general ed course. What I havnt done is I havnt had time to finish my major prerequisite courses because I just decided on what major I actually want. I’ve only done a few classes. I’m just wondering if it will effect my acceptance or will I get accepted and just have to take the classes there? Has anyone else been accepted with few prerequisite courses done? Thanks
colleges typically list some courses that REQUIRED and others that are recommended. As the name implies, if you have the REQUIRED, you are all set. If not, you are unlikely to gain admission into a competitive school.
I was accepted with a few pre-requisite courses done but the ones that CSUN was most concerned about were the golden four. The math component was the last one that I did and they kind of gave me a hard time about it.
