<p>Is it worth applying there if I didn't get an 800 on the SAT Math II? My other aspects are all probably good enough for it to be a reach, but I just don't know if they'll accept people that don't have an 800 as that's only the 85th percentile. Thanks.</p>

<p>what did you get on it? Its a ridiculous notion to say that they dont accept people with 800’s.</p>

<p>My son did get an 800 on Math II and 790 on Physics and was rejected from both Caltech and Harvey Mudd. That is only 1 portion of the application. They look at the whole student not just 1 set of tests scores. Good luck!</p>

So did you end up applying? I would like to think that these schools truly look at things other than scores. They are too smart not too.

You don’t need an 800, but don’t think for a minute that good test scores are not important.
