<p>As a brief comment, Caltech has over-enrolled the past few years, so to avoid doing again this year they waitlisted a lot more students than usual.</p>
<p>Last year, Caltech waitlisted 550 and did not take any from the list.<br>

<p>I believe they only watilisted as much as they accepted …so around 500-600 like last year</p>

<p>Rejected. I kind of saw this one coming because I don’t have any significant science/math extracurriculars.</p>

3.99 GPA (UW)
34 ACT/800 Math 2/750 Molecular Bio
No AP’s (school doesn’t offer them)
Major: Applied for MechE but my aspirations have since shifted toward Electrical, Compsci, maybe Bio.</p>
<p>Essays were pretty good but nothing totally unique.
References should be pretty good.
