8:31 seems reasonable. Probably 8:31AM PST. The REA time was 8:06AM PST, so it’d make sense.

Caltech portal application fee dates are always jumbled, I wouldn’t look too much into it.

I was deferred REA and received no email for the decision date. Did this happen to anyone else?

Same here! I think they probably just forgot, we should have the same decision date as everyone else.

Yeah, I just confirmed with a couple other people I know who got deferred. Really weird.
Look at the message 66 and then message 99.

Very unlikely it means anything, I had my fee date changed and I was deferred.

No email received by my daughter. She applied RD. (dont know if she has checked her spam folder yet tho, so maybe there).
fee app date has bugs i guess but doesn’t not receiving an email serious?

I wouldn’t worry about this type of minutiae. It appears to me to be a technical issue. Caltech is a very small school with a small staff in its admissions office and it’s a busy time of the year for them. Fairness is in its DNA so I wouldn’t expect it would treat some students (even international students) differently.

They just sent it about 20 minutes ago for deferred applicants.
