Every problem set is challenging, every lecture teaches you something new, and every Saturday there's something going on in the houses. You will never be bored at Tech. Caltech cannot compare to menial states of being, like sitting on your ass all summer, or going to some school whose graduate curriculum mirrors freshman- and sophomore-level classes at Caltech. I am happier at Caltech than I have been in my entire life, and I think everyone who likes/is good at math and science should come to Caltech.

You must be on drugs to say this… Caltech is brutal - it is nothing but work, more work, and then competition with some major brainiacs. The campus is SO tiny that everyone knows your dirt, and social life is SO high school. For a well-rounded college experience, you’d be much better off at a larger campus, and for social life, you’d be much better off anywhere else. For those who love to work all day and all night and still get humiliated, try Caltech.

Once upon a time, I went to a larger (and easier) college. It took months to find out where people congregated, and the only friend I had was someone I knew from high school. Campus was big enough that no one cared who I was or bothered to know me. When I came to Caltech, I was surrounded by awesome people and made six or seven friends in the first week of classes. Also, I do maybe two-three hours of work a day and still get good grades (with plenty of time to sleep and talk to people!) Caltech really is the place to be.

P.S. Those brainiacs will help you, if you give them a chance…

Is this the op/ed part of the Tech?

^lol, this is a ■■■■■ thread.

no I swear, I really do love it here. you really get to appreciate how awesome caltech is after you’ve been to another college.

You can’t appreciate how hard Caltech can be until you’ve finished core.
