Caltech Network Statistics

I'm not in Caltech, but I still was curious enough to investigate the Caltech network: (and compare it with a couple of others)

So they're out. Hahaha. Anyways, here's some interesting trends I found on some college networks:

LOL!!!

Caltech:

19%
In a Relationship

That's higher than Harvard or MIT, but one is wise to be skeptical of such numbers since most people don't disclose this (or they marry their best friends).

As for interests, with the exception of Math at #10, most Caltech students are relatively neurotypical.

It looks like we enjoy cartoons more than the other schools. 4 of our top 10 tv shows are cartoons, compared to 1 out of 10 for the others.

For the relationship thing, I don't think we have a statistically significant difference from the other schools (beside Chicago). Adding up the single and none listed categories, we get
Caltech: 71
MIT: 72
Harvard: 73
which is a 1-2% edge in dating at Caltech, which is insignificant.

We do, however, have the highest "single" stat, at 24%.

We also have the lowest numbers in "none listed", with the sole exception of the MIT students listing their political views 1% less than we do. I guess we like sharing information or something.

Pink Floyd? 'Ender's Game' the top book? 'Math' as an interest? I knew there was a reason I wanted to attend Caltech, yes. :D (Well, I suppose that's three of them?)

I'm actually really surprised that Battlestar Galactica and Stargate are not in the top ten for favorite TV shows at Caltech... Most of the people I know love one or both of them.

Tell them to go put their love for the shows on facebook.
