CalTech or Stanford?

Hi,

I've posted before but yet I cannot make up my mind,

I've been give a full scholarship for Masters in Aeronautics at Caltech (Plus funding for PhD since all grad students are funded at Caltech)

or a Scholarship to Stanford in Aero/Astro (Masters only - will need to depend on RA for funding for PhD?)

which one do you suggest?

Also, if I want to go to MIT for a PhD, which one would be a better to do so?

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions,

They are both great schools. I would suggest that you visit the campuses and talk to the people there.

i say cal tech if you get funding for PhD, do you honestly want to spend money on a school that is as equally good when you can go for free.

Caltech, unless you want to go into pure academia, in which case you might consider Stanford. Stanford will probably have you teach undergrads several hours a week for the years not covered by the scholarship, so you'll have a chance to compete for teaching awards and the like, which will be useful additions to your CV.

Thank you guys for your input,

If I want to switch to MIT for PhD does it matter which one I go to? Which one will give me a better chance?

Does anyone else have any input, deadline is this friday - please help!

Doesn't matter which one you go to, but just in case you don't receive an offer from MIT, choose the school where you'd like to study for the whole PhD program. In any case, it would be useful to stay with the same graduate advisor.
