Is there like an exchange program or taking courses from stan when you are in caltech or vice versa. Like the harvard , mit where you can take courses at both uni,
Also, which one is better at Software Engineering (Caltech or Stanford), I am interested in having my own start up. I think I want to do something in the area of websites with similar nature to EBay, Yelp, … a website that is related to everyday life like buying, food, medic care and etcetera for my start up. Which university would be good for that kind of goals (doesn’t have to be Stan or Cal, you can just provide me with a list of uni starting with the uni that is the most suitable for my goals)
No such exchange program exists. Each school on its own offers more than enough classes for you to take.
Stanford is better for that software engineering kind of thing.
thanks @InfinityFlat , anybody else have different opinions or more to add?
Caltech CS option is significantly more theory-based than Stanford’s (not saying you won’t learn what you need to go into industry, but you get a ton of theory). Stanford has a more pronounced start-up culture; check out CMU and MIT as well.
Didn’t get into MIT , didn’t apply to CMU lol , what about cornell, i heard it is pretty good at cs
