Anyone applied for transfer?

Hi zealot,
I heard decisions are coming out next week.

hi howardyan2,
I’m super nervous right now. I can’t find much info about caltech’s transfer. It seems that there weren’t many people applied for transfer…

well, not many get in as well…
Where else have you already been admitted?

Hey
Ive applied as a transfer student to Caltech too this year. How did you find the transfer exam??

I only applied for Caltech and JHU and still waiting for BOTH! It’s killing me…

Math part is easier than Physics part but I don’t think they are easy
How’s your performance on the test?

@zealot: You don’t have SAT right?

Caltech admission should be mailing to us today. Maybe it is today!

I called Caltech Admissions earlier today. They said to expect decisions in approximately three weeks.

3 weeks? Damn! Not sure if I would wait for 3 more weeks.
Last year it was released 05/02/2010 as I saw on a CC post.

howard,
You are right. I don’t have that.

It doesn’t make any sense for us to wait so long…

maybe there are quite a lot of applicant this year.

On their web site I found this:

"Transfer and 3/2 Update

The Transfer and 3/2 Admissions Committee expects to send out decisions by the 3rd week of May. Enrollment replies are due by June 1, 2011.

hey, im a uiuc freshmen and want to transfer to caltech, but do i really need the toefl score?

Can anyone here give an indication of what is covered on the transfer exam? Is it strictly single variable calc? Are there anything like Multi-variable, differential equations or linear algebra? As far as the physics goes, does it go up to electricity/magnetism and quantum mechanics? These would be good to know! :)
