Hello,
As indicated by the title, I luckily got into all four of the colleges for engineering (still undecided but leaning towards mechanical). I will be visiting them in the upcoming month but I would like to know your opinions about these colleges beforehand. Which are better academically? Socially? More research opportunities? What makes any of them better than the rest?
Thank you!

Personally, I would choose Berkeley as I love the area and it’s a good balance of social and academics. Caltech would be the best research-wise probably.

Edit: Berkeley would also be significantly cheaper as I am in-state. Don’t know about you though.

stanford all the way! All their engineering programs are comparable (top in the world), and you would get the attention of a private school with the opportunities and breadth of a big school. and Berkeley should be most expensive out of all of those, because the others guarantee to meet your need. Caltech probably has the best research opportunities, but they are all great. socially stanford or cal.
