<p>Impartial opinion needed from unrelated folks:</p>

<p>Caltech vs. Cornell (in random order!)</p>

<p>Major = Chemistry</p>

<p>Career goal = Researcher / academician</p>

<p>I'd say Caltech, but this is for two reasons.
One, Caltech is muchmuch smaller. This makes for a more intimate environment, in my opinion, and one that (for me) would be more conducive to learning.
Two, California weather.</p>
