<p>Did anyone else apply for the 2008 Caltech YESS summer program? I applied, but I'm white so I'm not really expecting anything, I just wrote the essay before I figured out that it was mostly for minorities. Anyone else apply or have any experience with this program?</p>

<p>did anyone get a confirmation email yet? i sent mine by ups, and i'm not sure exactly what "postmarked by" means with mail services like that.</p>

<p>This is from the website. "You will receive an email by Friday, March 14, 2008 confirming the status of your application. If you do not receive the confirmation email by then please contact the YESS office. Please do not contact us regarding your application status before this date."</p>

<p>yeah, i applied too. Asian here too, and got the same email. I just copied the essays I've written for other summer programs and pasted to online caltech YESS except i replaced the names. :D</p>
