Hi everyone,

I think this section is the best one for my question.

I am currently attending NYIT in aerospace engineering major and with full scholarship. I was told Caltech is the best graduate school for my major. Actually, I absolutely have no idea because I am an international student and this is my first semester in the US so I don't know very well about all the universities.

I am actually doing very well at NYIT (Certainly 4.0 GPA a the end of this semester with exemption of Calculus I and II and Physics I). People told me I should finish NYIT with my full scholarship (financially important) and then try to attend an excellent graduate school. My question is very simple: What GPA do you think (I know that is not the only argument and that is very subjective) I should keep at NYIT to be admitted and obtain scholarship, assistantship or or any other financial aid in a great university like Caltech or MIT?

Thank you for your replies
