Caltech !

I looked on the Caltech website, and they don't really say much. only that there isn't minimum GPA and they look at the SAT/etc scores and what courses of math and science you take, and most people accepted are top graduates in their class. Well, all I know is that VERY FEW, or NONE from my high school ever make it into Caltech, and I REALLY WANT TO GET ACCEPTED INTO THIS COLLEGE. This is my Junior yr, and so far I have a 4.47 GPA. and etc...

I just wanted to know if anyone has a vast knowledge of this college, what they REALLY LOOK FOR in applicants....

Thank you in advance, sorry for any misspellings, please reply. :D

Try posting this on the Caltech board...the people there will be able to help you.

As a rough guide, Caltech admissions are similar (in some respects) to MIT admissions, if you're familiar with their standards. Caltech looks in particular for a strong ability in the math and sciences as a strong passion for those subjects.

While there isn't a minimum GPA or SAT, that just means there aren't any hard and fast cutoffs- if either of those are low (by SAT, they mean SAT Math), you better have some very strong parts of your application to make up for it.
