caltech's EECS

does caltech have EECS program?

i've searched on the website and they only have separate EE and CS departments

however, US News still ranks caltech's computer engineering program

Best Colleges Specialty Rankings: Undergraduate engineering specialties: Computer

8 California Institute of Technology
Pasadena, CA

could someone clarify this?

thanks

No, it does not. Only CS & EE.

But supposedly the CS has an “ECE” informal study track. [Computer Science, Caltech - Undergraduate Study](<a href=“Computing + Mathematical Sciences”>Computing + Mathematical Sciences)

Hi, topaztrex: I’m a EE major here at Caltech. EE and ECE (Electrical/Computer Engineering) are pretty similar, especially if you’re interested in the hardware side of things. And by the way–the Electrical Engineering program here is amazing. We’ve got great classes, incredible research, and opportunities that I’m not sure students at other schools have (like the fact that I have full 24/7 access to the school’s most advanced nanofabrication facility as an undergraduate student).
