Cambridge Applicant

How does one go about applying to Cambridge from the US? They recommend having the SATs + 5 APs that apply to your subject.

If I applied to the law program, would these APs apply:
Stat, Psych, Macroeconomics, US History, Government/Politics, Calculus AB

I have 5s in those. Would those, in addition to a 2360 SAT, make me a viable candidate? That said, I read somewhere that they look down on APs, so this is probably a massive stretch.

I don’t know about Cambridge, but LSE requires [at least 5 two-semester AP courses](http://www2.lse.ac.uk/study/informationForInternationalStudents/countryRegion/northAmerica/usa.aspx</a>). Stats is not acceptable then. Macroeconomics is acceptable if you take it together with Microeconomics, in which case both are counted as a single two-semester course.

I know someone who was accepted to a medical undergraduate program at Cambridge, probably about 7 years ago. She had to have 3 APs: Chem, Bio, and Calc. They required a 5 in the sciences and a 4 in Calc. I don’t recall whether there was an SAT requirement. There is an established process for applying to UK universities as a foreigner that involves taking some kind of exam. In the US, people travel to British consulates to take it. I believe that you will find plenty of information on the university web sites. (And of course, don’t forget that you are admitted to a specific college within the university. Each specific college and program may have their own requirements.)
