Has anyone heard of the Cambridge College Programme? I received an invitation to it today and am curious about its general reputation. If you've participated in the program, I'd love to hear about your experience!

We got a mailer for our son and were interested also.
However, we’ve not received the brochure we requested online several weeks ago.
Today called the 800 number listed on the web site and it’s been disconnected.
The main number rolls to a message that says “mailbox full”.
The fax number rings and rings until it disconnects.

Doesn’t sound promising…

Anyone else?

My son went last summer (2008). The program strikes me as more a money-making social outing than an academic program, but my son had a memorable experience and I was glad he could participate. However, we paid for extra services which were not provided and despite being told by CCP staff last August, after his return from Cambridge, that our money for those services would be refunded we have been unsuccessful in getting our money back. In fact, we have been entirely unsuccessful in getting any response at all from Cambridge College Programme staff since last August despite numerous phone calls (no answer, voice mail full, etc), e-mails, and even certified letters. Either this group is no longer in business or they choose to ignore us. Either way, caveat emptor.

I got a letter from this program like three weeks ago and I asked my research teacher would this be a good thing to do over the summer. She said don’t waist your money on it; sure you’ll have fun but it won’t really help you.
