<p>The definition of URM is if you’re a black or hispanic or other underrepresented groups (aka Mongolia) … groups that universities would like to see more of. So say you’re applying to a college that’s male dominant and the college is looking to boost female numbers, then you would be at an advantage if you applied there as a female.</p>
