Hey this is kinda early but I’m starting this for everyone planning to apply this year. Feel free to say your EC’s and whether you’re applying early or regular decision. I’m planning to apply early because there is a bit of an advantage. Anyone else?
im planning on applying early as well
i just submitted my app, fingers crossed
I’m submitting my application tomorrow! I know that it’s a super long shot, but I’m really hoping that I at least get an interview. What were everyone’s EC’s?
i just submitted mine and when i click on my applications and click the application name it comes up blank does anyone else have this problem
@symere
same thing is happening to me, I think that’s intentional on the foundation’s part since they’ve said that you can’t make edits to an application once it’s been submitted.
@curlygirl675
I had various volunteering ECs stuco and some other clubs. I think the essays are going to play the heaviest role
Yep-On the website in the FAQ section they say that you’ll only be able to see the reference number starting with BCEF-… and so on. I was just as stressed when I tried to click on my application!
Yeah i’m thinking essays are the keystone to the application
which two essays did you guys choose out of the 6. I did extra hour in the day and problem I want to solve
@symere I did the same ones! Honestly I thought that they were the most insightful ones.
Has anyone gotten an interview yet
Nope. Should we have heard back by now?
I was just wondering because admissions are rolling so if you submitted super early you might have
I’m pretty sure we won’t get notified till the end of June
ahh i submitted my app in march and reading the bios of the people who actually got the scholarship i’m realizing how little of a chance i have to even get an interview… rip
@alyssakim
i feel you! they’re all so accomplished with nonprofits and whatnot. but you never know though stay hopeful
just getting an interview is a feat of its own
@symere no kidding!
how many early applications do you guys think there were?
This is based on absolutely no data, but my guess is 500 or less. I know that they cap it at 3,000 applications and that they aren’t even close to that capacity. They would have posted on social media otherwise. I also know that they receive most of their applications in the regular decision round, which makes me think that the number of early applications is less than 1,000 and probably closer to 500. I honestly have no clue though.
