Registration is now open. I checked this morning and it was not, but now is. We went onto AU access and got D registered.

We’re registered for Jun 2-3. Check-in on the 2nd is at 7:30a. Registration starts on the 3rd at about 2:45p and goes until…

Thanks for this! I’m going out of the country for all of the dates except the 26th of May so I had to make sure I registered on time!

We’re signed up for Jun 2-3 also. Coming in on the 1st. Waiting on hotel rates to be posted.

If you are waiting on the Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center rates to be posted, I would suggest you go ahead and call them – I did so last year, and got reservations immediately upon registering for our session WITH THE CAMP WAR EAGLE RATE. They fill up QUICKLY. I obviously can’t say that is exactly how things are this year, but I made reservations in October for this May to move our daughter out of her dorm, as people will be coming in for graduation during that time as well. You really need to think ahead with the AUHCC as they do fill quickly. And just FYI, on another front, do NOT plan on staying there for football weekends. They sell all their rooms as a “season package” for home football weekends. It is possible to get on a waiting list. We were successful in getting a cancellation for family weekend last year, but otherwise, we had to stay at other hotels. Just passing that on to anyone who may be interested.

Do a lot of people come in for Camp War Eagle the night before and stay on campus? On page 5 of the brochure, it says camp staff will have social programming.

Thanks. We have reservations for our session at AUHCC. Also we’ve decided to come to town for the Florida and Alabama games so we have rooms for those. We are coming the night before because registration is so early.

3moretogo, I’m not sure but I signed up and chose to get there the morning of, as my HS graduation is May 25, the day before. If I tried to get there the night before, I wouldn’t get there till midnight or so.

For those who don’t already know, the AUHCC rate quoted to us for Camp War Eagle is $119.00 per night. It’s a very nice hotel (we stayed here for Pres. scholar day), located right across from the library (location is unbeatable) and if you’re a guest, you can just park in their lot – very convenient. That being said, I don’t want to pay that much for this particular visit.

So, I started checking for rates at other local motels and it appears Priceline.com offers some great deals. The Hampton Inn on College (close to I-85) was about $70 a night – lodging that is a little farther away is even less. I was disappointed that the Holiday Inn Express was significantly MORE money than when we visited last summer – up from around $69.00 a night last year to 93.00 for the same type of room. Bummer.
