Campus Cuts...tip?

I need a haircut tomorrow and don't have time to leave campus to find a good deal. $15 is already the flat rate and I just need a quick buzz....so do the barbers usually expect a tip in addition to the fee? Cuz I really don't feel like paying more...

UCLA doesn’t have hair on-campus hair cutting services? i heard somewhere that they did…

The OP is asking about the Campus Cuts in the Ackerman Store on campus.

Good luck. Some of the barbers are GOOD and some of them SUCK. If they do a good job you should leave a tip ($2?)

yeah if you’re satisfied, leave a buck or two… if not, i don’t see why you would have to leave tip if they did a bad job.

20 percent is the usual for good service.

You’re lucky that’s how much it costs for you. My very long, very thick hair costs $60 a cut. =(

Question: is it possible for even the worst barber to screw up a 1/4 inch buzzcut?

^^ Wow, that’s a lot. Do you get it done in LA or something? I’m waiting right now to go home for a haircut. Where I go, it only costs $20 (shampooing included).

^ Yes, it is. Areas too close, areas missed etc

There was a guy on S’s hall who cut hair (and had all the necessary equipment), and he would cut S’s hair for free - buzz cut kind of stuff.

^^^ Yes it is. Happened to me last time at Campus Cuts.

I will go to Campus Cuts again but I will make sure to avoid the person who cut my hair last.

Just ask around the floor… someone will have a pair of clippers if you just want a buzz. Or better yet, buy a pair of clippers (20 bucks) and save yourself a ton of cash.

Buzz cuts are actually just $10 at Campus Cuts. The $15 includes shampoo at Campus Cuts as well I believe but I never get it.

I don’t know about everyone else but I tip $5 every time I go to Campus Cuts which is not frequently (around once every 6 to 8 weeks).

Thanks for all the response everyone!

Deuces, I think I might invest in a pair of clippers. I didn’t even know they were that cheap. :)
