I think I saw some Campus Day kids walking past the UGLi and Chem building yesterday, half of them looked kinda ... bored. Pretty sure that was campus day at least.

so, is campus day really beneficial if you've already been to u-m a few times?

No, I found it to not be very beneficial at all. A lot of Q&A sessions with dumb questions from overbearing parents. The only cools parts were the session where prospective students could ask some current students any question they wanted, and seeing the dorms. Overall, it was EXTREMELY boring and poorly done. The food was good though!

I'm from NJ and am visiting in 2 weeks. It's my first time so I hope campus day will be worth the trip :)

I came back from campus day. Check out my college visit report.

If you have other questions, let me know.

Is it possible to sit in on specific classes in one's intended major if one contacts the prof in advance?

I am not sure....but there is an extensive list that they give you. Can you tell me the class? I will see if it is listed in the booklet.

I went yesterday, my first time to Ann Arbor. I loved it all! I didn't know what to expect, and was not disappointed. The campus is amazing, I had a fantastic tour guide. The presentations were a bit boring but good. I'm pretty sure U of M is where I'm going now. :) Go Blue!

I was at a Campus Day and you can get some good information by attending - not from the formal presentations so much - mainly from the students and looking around at the campus and the town. If the people who attend these events would only read the U of M website and the materials that come with the admission packet they would not have to ask such stupid questions and waste the time of all the other attendees. Some of the questions from the parents are downright laughable and made me want to scream.
