Campus Day for UMich

I tried registering for a campus day visit for april 18, but i was a day too late. would it be possible for me to call them up and ask them if its possible for me to get it on the 18th because i bought my plane tickets to umich already and im fron new york ^^;;

if i cant get registered for the 19th then could i still like view the residence hall and the campus itself without a guide?

Getting into a res hall without a guide is simple just wait outside a building and someone WILL let you in believe me my mom and I did this last year when I went to talk to a girl from my high school who is a year older than me.

If you bought a plane ticket, I would think they'd still let you come. Definitely worth a try.

How necessary is it to go to class day, if you have already had a campus tour?

There will be a huge # of students doing these last minute April visits. They will definitely not stop you, or even notice you. Just hang out at the Central meeting point, and slide into one of the groups:)

Actually, we had decided to visit UM at the last minute, but could not sign up online, as it was too late, and full, but we called them up, and they said, "Well, you can do a visit on your own, the groups are full, blah, blah, ", the first time, but then the second person we talked to said "No problem"

How many of these shindigs have you done already....even the small exclusive ones...they have no idea of who is there....except for one where they had name tags. And even then, i saw people just walk right past the registration table.

My real question is whether he needs to go, since we have already had a visit with tour? How much more could he possibly learn?

Congratulations! You have just learned one of the best tips out there for survival at Michigan:

If at first you don't like the answer you get, ask someone else.

Seriously, it's such a decentralized place, it's remarkable how many times/ways/places that Michigan isn't consistent. Often asking again (especially if you're asking someone else, or a different office) will get you a completely different answer. Smart students use this to their advantage.

I'll be @ Campus Day on Tuesday the 19th.
Two questions: Is it possible to spend a night in a dorm beforehand or afterwards? Also will I be able to visit a class on Campus Day?

The 19th is the final day of classes, so I suggest you don't wait on that.
