Hey everyone,

I was just wondering (and I'm sure this question has been asked a lot) but if the campus stereotype of a preppy/elitist campus is pretty true. I was recently accepted as a second year transfer to UVa and am thinking about attending, but am a bit worried in regards to the campus environment. I plan on majoring in Philosophy and Cognitive Science and was wondering if anyone knew anything about those two programs at UVa. Also, I plan on joining the newspaper (most likely) and auditioning for some plays like I have done in the past. I have no intention of joining Greek Life, am vegan and very accepting, however I was just wondering if this is the right place for me. I really don't want to have to think about transferring again, but some UVa "summaries" tend to worry me in regards to the environment. I would think there would be some pockets of non-stereotypes... but I'm still wondering. Anyone have any comments?
