Looking for a current student to tell us about Tercero, good and bad.

I'm curious too! Anyone gonna answer?

Eh, I'm a current resident but I don't quite feel like rambling on about it. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you might have though..

megathunder: if you got to choose all over again, would you pick Tercero (brand new, real nice inside, close to cows and animals, etc.) or Segundo (looks nice, social people, close to Russell Ave)? Anything else I should know? Anything you disagree with that I said? Thanks.

Not all of Tercero is brand new. One advantage of living in the old part of Tercero vs. the old buildings in Segundo is air conditioning. I had a friend freshman year who didn't have air conditioning on the 4th floor... she was miserable.

^^Like Pearl said not all of Tercero or Segundo is brand new, only the new ones of each are. That's not saying the old ones are bad, there are great times to be had everywhere, but they just won't be brand-new buildings. That said, I applied trying to get into Tercero South or Segundo ATM(Alder, Thompson, Miller) :D.

If I could do it all over again I definitely would choose my Tercero building and floor again. Mainly because of my floormates who are just so diverse and amazing. I have had the best times in my life with my floormates. Everyone is just so different in ideas/opinions/views/personality/etc but all come together as best friends in the dorms. This type of social setting where in some ways your forced to be friends with people you otherwise would never have is what is so amazing. Hanging out with such different people and enjoying great times together is something I'll never forget.

Now this is mainly because everyone on my floor is outgoing, you could get a floor with the majority of people being introverts so hopefully that doesnt happen. You can definitely get a bad floor in the new Segundos and Terceros, too.

Can you request Segundo ATM or Tercero South or can you only request the Segundo/Tercero/Cuatro.

^^Good question! Can you specifically request a NEW tercero south or segundo atm or not? Thanks.

I don't believe you can. You just put down your preferences for type of room and whatnot and they assign you a place based on your preferences and whats available.
