As i was checking out the GMU website, I discovered that there are 3 different campuses. As my son would like to be in the school of engineering and computer science, I note that the building in on the Prince William campus. Will all his classes be there? Facilities there? Any need to go to the other campus? Number of students at that campus?

In the School of IT and Engineering, I believe only the IT majors have to go to PW. The other majors in that school are held on the Fairfax campus.

Next year, a new building will be completed for the School on the Fairfax campus, so there will probably be less of a need to go to the PW campus.

The IT majors don't have to go to Prince William - we offer all the courses at the Fairfax campus - but we have a number of students from that region that prefer to take the courses out at the PW campus. A few students specializing in bio engineering prefer to go out to take the courses there because of the phenomenal research facilities in genomics, proteomics, and biodefense at the Prince William campus.

Actually, deanflagel, I am an IT major so I would know a thing or two about where my classes are. I have had several IT courses that were only offered at PW. The lower level courses are offered at both Fairfax and PW, but most if not all of the undergraduate high level courses (IT 300+) are only offered at PW.
