<p>I read that you are required to have insurance, but I already have insurance so is it possible to get the insurance waived? If so, who can I contact or what can I do?</p>
<p>You have until 9/1/12 to submit the waiver. You go into your MyUCSC account and view messages, my messages, and at some point there will be a message about insurance and a link to the online waiver request. Some more info here:

<p>The waiver is good for one academic year and then you have to renew it each year, from what I read on the website.</p>
