You CAN find X-long twin sheets at many places around back-to-school time. Bed Bath and Beyond have many, many different kinds, as do other places such as Pottery Barn Teen and some department stores. I would go to BB&B if I were you - the sheets are cheap, XL, and you get to feel them for yourself.

I got that cataloug in the mail too but definitely don't buy from there!! I know a lot of kids who did last year and they're really cheap quality, they fall apart like halfway through the year... its kind of a scam thing, you can find those size sheets at lots of regular stores.

it had a seal on it but it looked nothing like UChicago's (not to mention all of their mailings are in nicer envelopes with a color seal and the return address is...in chicago)

You won't be able to find the very high thread count sheets for the twin XL beds. Usually, the 800-1200 thread count sheets are only available in queen and king sizes.

The highest thread count sheets that I have found were the 400 thread count ones that I found at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Beyond really has most of the stuff that you will need for moving in. I spent the better part of today and yesterday driving around trying to find everything, until I found that Beyond had everything that I was looking for.

If they don't have it, they can also order it for you, which is really nice.

I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and shopped for the exact same items as the Campus Linens value package. The cart comes out to a similar price. Did I do something wrong?

Ordering sheets through offers like that (and even when it comes down to it, through your school) isn't worth it... maybe it's convenient, but some stores are very cool that you can purchase it at home and pick it up at school.

Anyway! No-- usually TwinXL sheets don't come in very high thread counts or sateen. It's worth looking, but I wouldn't get your hopes up or anything. (I was unsuccessful in a similar search last summer, turned to tshirt material sheets and surprisingly loved them).

I got that catalog as well. How did they get our addresses? The UCs better not be selling our info for some quick cash! LOL. Seems like a ripoff. Plus, why buy so early. Stores will be selling these later on near midsummer

Try Residence Hall Linens (http://www.rhl.org) as well. The quality looked great. We ordered through them as they were the same price or cheaper than the stores. They also had some items we couldn't find in Bed Bath and Beyond when we tried to navigate around that store.
