Campus mail question

I have a question about the campus mail box next to Jester auditorium. It said,"This drop box is for CAMPUS MAIL only!! Not stamped mail!!"

Does this mean I can send enveloped mail to my friends in San Jacinto, or Kinsolvin without using stamps? If so, do I need to write a code or something on the envelope? Thank you!!

You can only send campus mail to someone who has a campus mail code (which looks like A0000, where A is a letter and the 0’s are numbers). The codes correspond to buildings and departments, and there has to be a mailbox for the recipient in that department. Typically this means faculty, staff, and graduate students can receive campus mail, but undergrads can’t.

Look up your friends in the UT online directory, and if they have a mail code listed there, you can send them campus mail with that code.
